What happens if the investigation changes the picture?
A stain does not always come from a leaking supply pipe. If the evidence identifies a different cause, an inaccessible area, a separate fault or a requirement outside the agreed job, we explain what the findings mean and discuss the next step. Unrelated work is not silently added to your package.
The advertised offer is not a “no find, no fee” promise or a guarantee of same-day completion. The written scope, booking information and agreed arrangements determine your job. Read them before paying the deposit.
Your report, your claim
The report gives you evidence to submit to your insurer. It records the relevant investigation and findings, access and repair details, with supporting photographs where appropriate. The package price is payable under your booking arrangement; do not assume the insurer will pay Leak Seaker directly.
Ask your insurer about trace-and-access cover, authorisation, its evidence requirements and any excess or limit before the work. It may assess the investigation, pipe repair and reinstatement differently.
Questions about the offer
What does the £1,750 offer include?
For the agreed residential job, £1,750 includes investigation, specialist leak detection, tracing, necessary access or excavation, the plumbing repair, parts, materials, appropriate retesting and an Written Trace & Access report. It includes any applicable tax and a one-year workmanship warranty. Decorative and remedial reinstatement is excluded.
Can I claim the cost back on my home insurance?
You can submit our Written Trace & Access report and invoice to support a claim. Whether you can recover some or all of the cost depends on your policy, its trace-and-access provisions, excess, limits and your insurer’s decision. Ask about approval before the work. A report supports the evidence; it does not guarantee reimbursement.
Is access and repair really included?
Yes. Necessary access or excavation and the plumbing repair are included for the agreed residential job, alongside the detection and report. Restoring tiles, flooring, plaster, paint, cabinetry, paving or landscaping is separate. We explain the proposed access and its effect on finishes before proceeding.
Do you charge more if the agreed job takes longer?
There is no extra hourly surcharge simply because the agreed residential job takes longer. The £1,750 price applies to the scope confirmed before booking. Unrelated faults or work outside that agreed scope must be discussed and agreed separately.
How much is the deposit?
After we confirm the job and appointment, the booking deposit is £100. It is deducted from the £1,750 total, leaving £1,650. An enquiry does not book a visit, take payment or reserve an appointment.
What does the one-year warranty cover?
A one-year workmanship warranty applies to all work we carry out within the agreed package. It relates to our workmanship, rather than insuring every existing pipe or unrelated fault in the property. Keep the report and invoice, and raise a concern promptly so it can be assessed under the written warranty terms.
